For Transfer to Secondary School, Transfer to Junior School and First Admission to Reception in Primary/Infant School for the school year 2027/28 - please see the 'Key Dates' below or refer to the school admission pages on the Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) website for more information. If your child does not live in Lincolnshire and you are applying for a place for 2027/28 you must apply to your home local authority, even if you want to apply for a place at a Lincolnshire school.
If you need to transfer your child to a different school at any other time, you should also apply here. This process is called an 'In Year' application and you can apply when you are looking for a place at a Lincolnshire school, regardless of where you live. This can be done at any time during the year.
If your child holds an Education, Health & Care Plan(EHCP):
For the main intake rounds (the normal point of entry), your child’s plan will be reviewed shortly to recognise that your child is moving or starting school. You will receive further information from your child’s SEND Caseworker. You should not complete an application using this online portal.
For an 'In Year' application, you should contact your child’s SEND Caseworker to discuss a change of schools and you should not complete an application using this online portal. You can find further information at :- https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/send-local-offer
School transport:
Transport is only provided to your nearest or designated transport area school subject to distance. If you do not include your nearest or designated transport area school as one of your preferences, you will not be entitled to home to school transport to any alternative school offered by the Local Authority, even if a place is not offered at one of your preferred schools. If your child is offered a place at a preferred school which is not your nearest or designated transport area school, you will be responsible for transport to that school for the duration of the child's time at that school.
